MP35N® alloy steel bar is a nickel, chromium, cobalt alloy. This material is non-magnetic, has an extremely high tensile giving both excellent strength as well as good ductility. In addition this metal also has excellent corrosion resistance to some mineral or bench acids These include sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. (It may be wise to check with Brindley Metals or the manufacturer prior to ordering as hot solutions or extremely high concentrations of acids may need a little further advice.
This alloy has a maximum 398 degree C service temperature.
MP35N® is used in a wide array of industries when its critical a component needs to resist stress and crevice corrosion. The material can be utilised within industries such as Petro-chemical, Automotive This alloy is typically work-strengthened and aged to obtain strength levels of 260 to 300 ksi.
We typically supply this material in round bar and finished components including specialised bolts and fasteners.
